- The following are brief descriptions of the basic TimeSlice window parts. Most of these items are covered in greater detail in the full manual.

-   Tool Bar. The icons across the top represent button shortcuts to the
- menu items.

-   Status Indicator. Green means the timer is active, red means the timer is
- off, and yellow means the timer is paused. You can alternately set these to black, gray, and white by clicking on the Status Indicator.
-
-   Total Marked Indicator. When the Indicator is visible, it means the totals
- are calculated from the marked time records. If the Total Marked Indicator is not visible, the totals are calculated from all timed records.
-
-   Total Elapsed time from either all time records or from marked time
- records.
-
-   Grand Total from either all time records or from marked time records
- (Grand Total equals Total Charge plus Total Expenses).

-   On-line help. Move the cursor over any of the tool bar buttons to display
- information about the button. Click on the ? button to turn off the help messages.

-   Total Paused time either from all time records or from marked time
- records.

-   Total Charge either from all time records or from marked time records.

-   Total Expenses either from all time records or from marked time records.

-   Standard Macintosh Zoom window button.

-   Number of time records in the current document.

-   Charge Budget displays charge information if you've set a charge
- budget.

-   Time Budget displays time information if you've set a time budget.
